Final diagnosis

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare cystic idiopathic disease affecting women in child-bearing age. It can result in respiratory failure.
Findings of multiple, small, diffusely distributed cysts are virtually pathognomonic for LAM.
Typical radiographic findings of reticular interstitial lung disease, recurrent pneumothoraces, and recurrent chylous effusions have been described.
