A few comments about the electronic version of the bookWe have made a full copy of the book available as a part of our web site. This is a work in progress and as such represents a complete yet preliminary version of the manuscript. In keeping with the concepts outlined in the book, we have attempted to recreate some of the tools presented by the author. Thus, you must have a browser capable of supporting frames, javascript, client-side image maps, and quite possibly other advanced capabilities as we continue to enhance the site. We have tested the book using Netscape Navigator 2.02 and greater as well as limited testing using Microsoft Explorer beta 3.0 (The version of Explorer we tested with currently does not support some javascript methods that are used for navigation). We strongly suggest that you use one of these browsers with this book. There are no plans to create a 'non-framed' version of the book.
Future plans include:
- The addition of multimedia resources
- Feedback forms for providing comments
- Enhanced visuals / graphics / user interface
- Sample Java applications
