Case Study 8.2: Plastic Explosives Detection

The data consists of 2500 profiles: 

1250 correspond to explosive substances and the remaining 1250 were
from typical substances found in suitcases.  Each profile is a vector
of 23 numbers X1,...,X23 which are a summary of the signal absorbed 
by the material.  The last variable is the response Y = 1 if the 
suitcase has a bomb and 0 otherwise. 


Variables:     

     X1 ... X23    Signal profile
     Y             Response: 1 = bomb, 0 = otherwise
