[Comments on Blue Ribbon campaign]

I took the USA Weekend political poll, and here're the results and my commentary. Related to this, here is my opinion on religious liberty and the separation of church and state.

[Say NO to Spam!]

Born to a family with a long history in Malaysia, I just got my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in Computer Science. This being the case, I was thus a member of the Computer Science Graduate Student Organization -- every grad student in the department is automatically a member, and I've even served as Party Chairman in the past. I am also a member of ACM. I am now teaching at the Universiti Telekom (Multimedia University) in Malaysia.

I was a member of the Malaysian Student Association of Central Illinois.

As part of the UIUC Smalltalk/Patterns Group, I am doing research into using patterns to document object-oriented reusable frameworks (mostly in Smalltalk and Java.) Here are some of my technical papers.

While in Champaign-Urbana, I attended church at the local Vineyard and was active in the local chapter of Graduate InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on campus.

While there is probably some sparing use of Netscape extensions, I've endeavored to make these pages as usable as possible with all browsers. I've especially tried to give meaningful alt labels to all the pictures so that people browsing with Lynx will have a decent time. Of course, the pages which are mostly pictures (eg. the comics page) I can't do much with, but all the other pages should be quite usable. If you spot anything that could be improved in this regard, feel free to contact me and tell me about it.

Read today's news.

Here is my web site philosophy. I also took some (but not all) the suggestions of an HTML Pattern Language.
