The PATAT series of conferences is held tri-annually as a forum for both
researchers and practioners of timetabling to exchange ideas.
(The first two conferences were held bi-annually in order to establish
the conference).
The first
conference was held in Edinburgh in September 1995 and proved highly
successful.
Selected papers from this conference have been published in
a post conference proceedings by Springer-Verlag as part of their Lecture
Notes in Computer Science series. (Selected Papers).

The second PATAT conference
was held at the University of Toronto, Canada in August 1997.
