TTP - a mailing list for the TimeTabling Problem

TTP is a mailing list whose purpose is discussion, queries and sharing and comparing ideas and info on timetabling problems, ie exam scheduling and course scheduling for academic institutions.

Possible subjects for discussion include:

The only `rule' of the mailgroup is that all postings should have some relevance to timetabling. Upon joining, new members will be invited to send in a summary of their work, but this is not compulsory, as many members have not been working in the area for long.

There is an anonymous ftp area to support this group, at ftp.cs.nott.ac.uk, in the directory called `ttp'. It contains an archive of selected threads of discussion from the mailgroup, bibliographies of related papers, e-mail addresses of people working in timetabling, and copies of papers (in PostScript) by the Timetabling Research group at the University of Nottingham's Department of Computer Science.

If you have anything large of interest to the group, eg papers, code or problem data, you may either post your own ftp address to the mailgroup, or send details of the item to ttp-request@cs.nott.ac.uk, and we may include a copy in our ftp area.

A list of timetabling-related internet resources is maintained at this site. Please e-mail ttp-request with any additions.

If you wish to know more, or have any problems with the mailgroup, or you wish to subscribe or unsubscribe, write to ttp-request@cs.nott.ac.uk. To send e-mail to the whole group, write to ttp@cs.nott.ac.uk. Or alternatively use this fill out form.
