This Java applet demonstrates the influence of the electronegativity on bonding orbitals, the dipole moment and the bonding energy. It is an interactive orbital interaction diagram between two s-AOs. The scrollbar on the right alters the electronegativity of the first atom and that at the top the distance between the two atoms. This demonstration is essentially qualitative, but illustrates the effects as realistically as possible.
