Starting the e-book | |

A: | Execute mdsserv.exe in the root directory of the CD. |
Q: | If I doubleclick on start.html in the root directory of the CD then I can read the book, but I can not execute the examples. |
A: | Execute mdsserv.exe in the root directory of the CD instead of doubleclicking on start.html. |
Q: | After pressing the "Start e-book" button I get the error message "no association" |
A: | You have not defined a standard internet browser. You can define a standard internet browser by installing Netscape 4.7x in the directory Netscape. After installation it should be your standard browser. |
Q: | After starting the main page, all of the HTML links do not work. |
A: | Please check, if your operation system supports long filenames. If you look at the CD and you find that the HTML files have the extension .htm and you are running Windows 95/98 then contact your system administrator. Ask him to incorperate your CD-ROM drive in a way that it supports long filenames. |
Running examples | |
Q: | How can I run the examples in the XploRe version installed on harddisk ? |
A: | Start XploRe through Start|Programs|MD Tech|XploRe, open an editor and copy and paste the examples or load them from the CD. |
