Parcellation of the white matter by the DTI-based color maps. Homogeneous-looking brain white matter can be parcellated into different tract systems depending on their orientations (colors). The left image shows a color map of a coronal slice and the right shows an axial slice at the location shown by a pink box. Abbreviations are; slf: superior longitudinal fasciculus, ilf: inferior longitudinal fasciculus, cg: cingulum, cc: corpus callosum, cst: corticospinal tract, scp: superior cerebellar peduncle, mcp: middle cerebellar peduncle, icp: inferior cerebellar peduncle, and ml: medial lemniscus.
