The Mac version of this software does not need any prior installation : you can use it directly on the cd-rom using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Please note :

This software makes use of Java version 1.1. As this may cause problems when using the Mac version of Netscape Navigator, please use Microsoft Internet Explorer. The latest version can be downloaded at this address.

Please turn the sound on : each animation is synchronized with a sound track. Note however that the sound quality is not as good as with the PC version (8 bits/8 kHz instead of 16 bits/22 kHz).

In most pages, the simulation controls (mouse and keyboard) are locked until the end of the explanation. If you wish to use the simulation controls immediately, you can press the button below the simulation window. This will end the explanation and let you use all simulation controls. You can then restart the explanation by clicking on the button.

The buttons and on the left toolbar let you choose between two modes where the explanation either does (default) or does not start automatically when loading a new page.

If some part of the animation window is not shown please increase the browser window size. If the screen resolution is only 800x600 it is required that you run the browser full screen (hit the F11 key).

This software is intended for interactive use and is not optimized for printing. If you do wish to print anyway, you can use the Print function of your browser. However, please be aware that the page is a frameset and that you must choose how the different frames should be printed. If you wish to print only the animation screen you should first select the corresponding frame with the mouse and then choose "selected frame only" in the print dialog box.

Normally, you should see an animation of the NH₃ molecule below. If not, you may need to enable Java in the options of Internet Explorer. You may also need to download the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
