The version of Gato currently available is 0.96G from 04/09/2001. Gato is (c) 1998, 1999 ZAIK/ZPR, Universität zu Köln and distributed under the Gnu Library General Public License (LGPL) (more information about the LGPL).

Gato needs Python and Tcl/Tk. If you have never installed Gato before, you might want to check the platform-specific download pages for information before proceeding: Unix, Linux, MacOS and Windows.

If you have installed Gato before, and just want to upgrade to a newer version, download the compressed archive file below. Remember to download it as a binary.

Note: The MacOS version differs only in respect to end-of-line markers from the Unix/Linux/Windows version.
