This picture shows a raytracing of three Brunnian links. The small three component link was constructed using the KnotPlot tangle calculator. The four component link was sketched by hand from an example shown on page 67 of Dale Rolfsen's book Knots and Links. The construction of the large six component link is described in more detail in a separate page.

KnotPlot relaxed all three links to the configurations shown. On the computer screen the KnotPlot images look essentially the same as those shown on the Brunnian links page. For the raytracing, KnotPlot exported the models via a DXF format b-spline surface file. These models were loaded into ALIAS Studio (TM) and then raytraced and output to a 2140x4000 pixel image.
