This CD-ROM includes demo versions of three OPM-supporting tools:

(1) OPCAT I  a relatively simple, stand-alone Object-Process CASE Tool;

(2) OPCAT II, operating in Java 2SE 1.3 environment (downloadable from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/ and requires Microsoft Access); and

(3) Systemantica beta version, developed by Sight Code, Inc. (requires Microsoft Access and Visio).

OPCAT I
=======
OPCAT I is a relatively simple, stand-alone Object-Process CASE Tool. It requires no supporting software, does not generate OPL and is supplied "as is" without online help.

System and software Requirements
--------------------------------
OPCAT I can run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. A Pentium 100MHz with at least 16 megabytes of physical RAM is required.

Installation
------------
(1) Open the folder OPCAT_I and copy the file in it from the CD to your hard drive.
(2) Double click to start the program.

OPCAT II
========
OPCAT II operates in Java 2SE 1.3 environment and requires Microsoft Access. The program contains on-line Help. It generates OPL but the latest syntax used in the book is not fully supported. The ATM case study in chapter 2-3 in the book is implemented as a working example. To open it click Project -> Open -> ATM.

System and software Requirements
--------------------------------
The JavaTM 2 SDK is intended for use on Windows 95, Windows 98 (1st or 2nd edition), Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5, Windows ME, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, or Windows XP operating systems running on Intel hardware.
A Pentium 166MHz processor with at least 32 megabytes of physical RAM is required.

Installation
------------
(1) Download and install Java 2SE 1.3 from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/
(2) Open the folder OPCAT_II on the CD-ROM and double-click the file OPCATIIdemo.exe. Follow instruction to install the program.
(3) Double click the green OPCAT program icon on your desktop or open it from the Programs menu.

Systemantica
=============
Systemantica beta version, developed by Sight Code, Inc. requires Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visio 2000 or higher. It is relatively slow but is the most advanced in terms of OPL support, including text-to-graphics for a subset of OPL sentences. The program has extensive on-line help.

System and software Requirements
--------------------------------
Systemantica requires Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Me running on Intel hardware. This version also requires MS Access and MS Visio 2000 or a newer version. A Pentium 166MHz processor with at least 32 megabytes of physical RAM is required.

Installation
------------
(1) Make sure you have Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visio 2000 or higher installed on your computer.
(2) Open the folder Systemantica on the CD-ROM and double-click the self-extracting file Systemantica_Beta.exe to extract it to your hard drive.
