The SVP can be invoked as a stand-alone program, or embedded in a C++ or TCL program by means of a separate library. In all cases its operation depends on the configuration file. In the embedded version, the actual data can be specified at any time and a ``compute'' method is invoked to start the computation. Furthermore, output data can be accessed from within the program. This does not interfere with the full output capabilities as specified in the report definition.
