This test does not require reference data. The score is either 1 or 0 according to whether the time series (or a specified portion of it) has no significant temporal trend. This is done by regressing the data versus the time (index) and checking that the 95% confidence interval of the slope includes 0. In this case the score is 1, otherwise it is 0.
