Project and People
This research was initially performed jointly by
researchers at the Institute for Ecological Economics
(part of the University of Maryland System, Center for Environmental and
Estuarine Studies) and the South Florida Water Management District, under
a contract paid for by the SFWMD. Following the initial model design and
implementation, further model development/refinement is being undertaken by the SFWMD personnel,
where the model is one of the tools being used for evaluating
the various alternatives for Everglades restoration.
