South Florida land use and canal/levee in 1992 (30x30 m cell resolution)(Florida Dept. of Transportation). The classification scheme used in this map does not distinguish among natural marsh vegetation types, and is not currently being used in the modeling efforts. Ongoing work at the Everglades Systems Research Division (SFWMD) and the Center for Remote Sensing and Mapping Science (University of Georgia) has produced ground-truthed, ca. 1995 vegetation maps within most of the Everglades.
