The Everglades Landscape Model is available to evaluate ecological responses to management alternatives in different restoration-related Projects.

Please see the web site's News section, "ELM updates", for information on the ELM versions that are applied to different Projects over time.

We summarize and present the most informative model output as either:

  • "Performance Measures" that are explicitly used/approved for judging the performance of a Project run; and
  • "Performance Indicators" that may be viewed to gain further insight into details of the performance of a Project run.

For each simulation run within a Project, we present the input data, a "Quick-Look" at the results, and the full suite of Performance Measures/Indicators along a spatial hierarchy:

  • Input data shows the run-specific data that were used to drive the model.
  • Quick-Look provides a few examples of model performance at different spatial scales.
  • Regional maps quantify Performance Measures/Indicators at the scale of the entire landscape.
  • Subregional graphs quantify Performance Measures/Indicators at the scale of subregional Basins and Indicator Regions.
  • Point location graphs quantify Performance Measures/Indicators at the scale of point (grid-cell) locations.
