There are two levels of metadata that describe the ELM:

• High level metadata - describes the attributes of the ELM, including such fundamental information as model objectives, domains, availability, etc.  
   
  
• Low level metadata - a database of metadata, documenting the filenames of every ELM code/application and data file, their purposes, locations, etc.
