Applying the Patuxent model to the Gwynns Falls watershed "as is".
We have first applied the Patuxent model "as is" to the Gwynns Falls watershed. The gaging data were available only for the Villa Nova station, which covers approximately the upper half of the full GF watershed. The results were in the right range so the same parameter set was used as the ballpark calibration.
After tweaking some of the parameters we got a better fit.
It should be noted that this calibration is based on climatic data measured at the BWI airport some 40 km away from the watershed. Therefore we should not expect to get a fine representation of the magnitude and timing of all the flow peaks.
