TsinghuAeolus is the champion team for the latest twoRoboCup simulation league competitions. While our binary and nearly full source code for RoboCup 2001 had been publicly available for the entire year, we won the champion again in Fukuka, with more obvious advantage. This paper describes the key innovations that bring this improvement. They include an advice-taking mechanism which aims to improve agents’ adaptability, a compact and effective option scoring policy which is crucial in the option-evaluation framework, and thorough analysis of interception problem which leads to more intelligent interception skill. Although not strongly interrelated, these innovations come together to form a set of solutions for problems across different levels. LNAI 3020, p. 205 ff. lncs@springer.de
