Ingebrikt Vik

The sculptor Ingebrikt Vik won the national competition for an Abel monument in 1902. But it took until 1966–69 before his winning project was cast in bronze. However, it was then cast in two versions, one for the Vik museum and one that is now adorning the garden of the Niels Henrik Abel Building at the University of Oslo, Blindern.
