
56-year-old man with moderate dyspnea and history of myositis and urothelial tumor treated by surgery and chemotherapy.
Thymoma
Thymoma: most frequent mass of the anterior mediastinum > 40 years. Mass of 4 to 10 cm in diameter in general. 33% have calcifications. most project on one side (not median).
Presentation: asymptomatic, paraneoplastic syndrome: (Myasthenia Gravis, autoimmune myositis, aplasia of the red line, hypogammaglobulinemia).
Take home message of this case: the larger a mass the most difficult the precise anatomic origin.
